Do I need to bring a partner? Absolutely not! Most people at Latin dance socials come alone or with friends. At Latin Twist events, we rotate partners throughout the evening so everyone gets to dance with different people. What about couples? Couples are very welcome at Latin Twist socials! Many of our most loyal attendees are couples who discovered that dancing together transformed their relationship. Latin dance — especially Kizomba and Bachata — is known for deepening connection and communication between partners.

What do people actually do at a social? A typical Latin Twist social looks like this — the evening starts with a workshop where Mary Lobo teaches the basics of Salsa, Bachata or Kizomba. After the workshop, the floor opens up for social dancing with DJ Cza spinning the best Latin tracks. People dance, chat, take breaks, grab a drink and enjoy the vibe. It's relaxed, warm and welcoming.

Do I need to know how to dance? Not at all! Our Pre-Party Workshop at the start of each evening is designed specifically for beginners. In just one hour you'll learn enough to get on the floor and enjoy yourself.
